spoken language French
The French theatre-maker Claude Régy, now eighty-seven years old, defends his vision of theatre and society with verve. Uncompromising, consistent, passionate, erudite, eloquent and clear. In this lecture he talks about the Englishwoman Sarah Kane, who took her own life in 1999. The focus is not on her suicide but on how, through language, she lucidly provided evidence of a sick and inhumane society.
