In BIMBO, Boogaerdt/VanderSchoot examine the 'bimbofication' of women. What is the role of pornography in our society? And how does it impact women and men (young and old)? To what extent does the pornographic stereotype also unconsciously determine our lives. BIMBO is an exciting theatre show about the sham freedom of the world we live in. The creators were inspired by R&B video clips and the frequent use of images from the porn industry in contemporary advertising. By creating this performance they wish to share their doubts and confusion about this subject.
