Last year Rosas was very successful at the Avignon Festival with the intimate dance production, 'En Atendant'. In their latest creation, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas, together with Björn Schmelzer and his ensemble Graindelavoix, continue to explore dance and the boisterous scores of the fourteenth-century 'Ars Subtilior'. The new production is almost the counterpart to 'En Atendant'. Whereas the twilight in their open-air creation almost imperceptibly turned into night, this work in the Cour d'Honneur of the Palais des Papes heralds the break of day. After the summer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker will be working on a theatre version in our Red Hall, after which the production will go on tour. Ann Veronica Janssens is responsible for a stage set of colour and light, a sculpture of time slipping by, the continuing transformation of what surrounds us, and what only becomes visible over time.
