9th November 1989, Berlin: the Wall falls. Twenty years later, deSingel: Checkpoint Charlie between the Red Hall and the Blue Hall. Or a 'nostalgic' look at the two Germanys…
Just a few days before the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the Wall between East and West Germany, 'De Nachten 2009' commemorates that historic moment. We translate it into themes like the end of ideology, German literature, and the artistic scene in Berlin then and now. Focusing especially on young talent. The choice of music will be pointed, festive and typical of Berlin.
And 'De Nachten 2009' will feature the festive unveiling of the book 'Print is Dead', in which the latest generation of Flemish writers make themselves heard.
