Vlaams Architectuurinstituut
The Vlaams
Architectuurinstituut is the main base for contemporary
architecture. It aims to convey contemporary architecture to the
public as well as professionals, researchers, the media and
government institutions. To this end, the VAi disseminates
information about buildings, architects, architectural libraries,
publications, magazines, contests and events, in all sorts of
manners. Additionally, the VAi is the partner for all kinds of
activities dealing with contemporary architecture, such as
lectures, debates, publications, architecture tours, surveys,
activities for the young people and children. Here the
collaboration with local organisations and partners from the world
of architecture is a main objective.

Champ d'Action
Champ d'Action
is a platform for contemporary music that displays great openness
towards other artistic disciplines such as contemporary art, video
art, theatre and dance. Radical artistic choices come clearly to
the fore.
Champ d'Action was set up by the Antwerp composer Serge Verstockt
in 1988 and at that time it was the first Flemish ensemble focusing
entirely on contemporary music to receive an operating subsidy. The
organisation fulfilled the need for the professional performance of
contemporary music and also played a major pioneering role in the
performance of the Flemish and international modern repertoire. It
continues to perform this task today in a radically altered music
world.
