Our selection from the Toneelhuis programme comprises three plays and a dance performance. The subscription for eight productions creates a good link between the makers and performers who will be included in the programme of both theatres this season.
The third play is Olympique Dramatique's 'In the Penal Colony'. In association with KVS, this actors' collective is cooperating with Bart Meuleman. He is adapting Franz Kafka's work on civilization and violence into a political dramatization which is nevertheless sensitive to the various layers of the writing and the special qualities of this Prague writer.
